I'm often asked what it means to be part of eToro's Pro Investor programme (previously known as Popular Investor). It recognises experienced investors whose portfolios others can follow — and copy — on the platform. The most important thing to understand is that a Pro Investor never holds the money of the investors copying them. Every investor keeps their own eToro account and remains the sole owner of their capital.

No — never. I have no access to investors' funds: I can't withdraw them or handle them in any way, and I don't even know the size of anyone's investment. When you choose to copy my portfolio, eToro's technology automatically mirrors my buys and sells on your own account, in proportion to your investment. You pay no extra fee for copying me, and you can stop at any time.
